In 2003, Cecil Phillips-Ritchey, principal consultant, started CPRdesignco LLC on a to offer a diverse set of services to the nonprofit sector. CPRdesignco now offers show film/video production and social media to our current mix of strategic marketing, branding, digital media and visual communications design services.
Strategies and communications are customized by CPRdesignco for nonprofits based on the behaviors, interests, and needs of target audiences. Designs and copy are developed to engage and maximize impact on target audiences.
Cecil Phillips-Ritchey, President, has over 30 years experience working in the public and nonprofit sectors. Her diverse background in psychology, management, marketing and visual communication provides a unique skill set for the development of marketing strategies and communications for nonprofit agencies, organizations and causes.
Social Behaviorist CPRdesignco develops communication strategies based on the specific needs and interests of target audiences. Cecil uses research and social marketing to communicate with diverse audiences to achieve successful outcomes. Cecil has facilitated focus groups for over 250 different types of nonprofit services, and is well grounded in serving this unique sector.
Nonprofit Advocate Formerly an assistant director of the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits, Cecil was a strong advocate and administrative lobbyist for a nonprofit trade association representing eight human service sectors and hundreds of nonprofits from other sectors. Cecil’s responsibilities included building consensus amongst diverse constituencies and developing targeted communications directed to governmental leaders, association members and the public.
Recognition & Affiliations Cecil is a member of the AIGA and the American Marketing Association. American Graphic Design Awards awarded by Graphic Design USA, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), CADC, Hartford Art School, and Middlesex Community College have recognized her work .
Education Cecil was awarded a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Yale College, specializing in Child Development, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Visual Communications Design from the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. Cecil earned a Masters of Science in Management, specializing in strategic planning for nonprofits, at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Hartford.
